A FREE 2.0 CE Workshop, *Limited to 40 Participants

This workshop exposes participants to the highly sensitive trait in children, which exists in 20 percent of the global
population. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to assess for and detect this trait, to summarize the 4
main tenets of the trait, and apply at least 1 play therapy intervention targeted toward the highly sensitive child.\
After the session, participants will be able to….
1. Assess for and detect when they are working with a highly sensitive child in their play therapy practice
2. Summarize the 4 main tenets of the Highly Sensitive Child trait
3. Discover a minimum of 1 play therapy intervention with the Highly Sensitive Child
within their own practice
Dr. Faridnia is a licensed psychologist, registered play therapist supervisor, registered yoga teacher, and president-elect of the California Association for Play Therapy. She works in private practice, training, and supervising pre-licensed professionals. She
specializes in treating highly sensitive children, perinatal mood/anxiety disorders, and crisis assessment/intervention.
Dr. Chavez is a clinical psychologist and registered play therapist supervisor in private practice in Southern California. She specializes in perinatal mood disorders, adolescents, attachment,
and highly sensitive children, and training and supervising diagnostic/therapy doctoral students. She is also an adjunct professor in psychological assessment.
